Program Overview

The MOFCOM Scholarship is a fully funded program sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China. It is designed to support professionals and government officials from developing countries by offering advanced education at top Chinese universities.

This program focuses on building global leaders who can contribute to economic development, international cooperation, and public sector growth. It also gives scholars the chance to gain international exposure while developing practical and academic skills in their fields.

The scholarship is fully funded and covers:

• Full Tuition Fees: Complete waiver for the entire program
• Accommodation: Free on-campus housing
• Monthly Living Allowance:
  • Master’s: 36,000 RMB/year
  • PhD: 42,000 RMB/year
• Travel Costs: Round-trip international airfare
• Settlement Allowance: One-time 3,000 RMB upon arrival
• Medical Insurance: Comprehensive health coverage
• Academic Support: Includes teaching materials, research, and thesis guidance
• Continued Funding: Based on annual academic evaluation

Academic & Demographic Requirements

• Must be a non-Chinese citizen from a developing country
• Must be under 45 years old
• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Must be proficient in English (IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 80+)

Experience & Background

• At least 3 years of work experience
• Currently employed in:
  • Government institutions
  • Enterprises
  • Research organizations
• Strong potential for career growth and international cooperation
• Must be in good physical and mental health

Exclusions

• Must not be currently studying in China
• Must not be receiving another Chinese government scholarship

• Master’s Degree Programs: 1–2 years
• PhD Programs: 3 years
